The Facade Inspection Safety Program requires that owners of buildings with six or more stories above grade have their exterior walls and appurtenances inspected periodically –  at least once every five years.

First, the facade inspection can identify any loose, missing, or otherwise damaged building facade elements that need to be repaired immediately or in the near-term.
